Director Satyajit Das is on a roll now. With the amazing success of his first film Paintings in the Dark, he has announced back to back films like Qlkatay Qlenkari and Raavan. The shooting of those films are going on but here comes another card from the pocket. On the 19th of December, 2019, Satyajit announced his fourth directorial, Abar Apu O Durga. The story of the film revolves around a sister and brother who love and care for each other. Apu and Durga’s father went into a coma. Durga quit studies and started sewing work in Kolkata. But one day, she was attacked by acid and the lives of the siblings took another turn from there.
The major attraction of the film will be the recreation of Ravi Shankar’s music and the urban-centric frame in the big screen again after quite some time. Produced by Tanumay Dey from the Neelam Films Production, the film has some extremely capable actors like Sneha Biswas, Deboprasad Haldar, Tiyas dey, and Saheb Halder. The shooting of this Satyajit Dey directorial will start in February of 2020 and the film is expected to hit the theatres in the middle part of the same year. We hope that this film will attract viewers to theatres and as after a long time we will find the perfect portrayal of Gram Bangla in a full-length film.
