After creating quite some noise at the universal film festivals, the gem of a film, Paintings In The Dark, directed by Satyajit Das will be hitting Indian theatres this December. The story of the film is about Emmanuel who is blind since birth and is an artist who paints through feeling his circumstances and surroundings; however, his life changes and when he gets out on a quest to meet his mother. The main USP of the film is its beautiful storyline. Another brilliant aspect of the film is its music. Directed by Rajdeep Dasgupta, the music of the film will surely play some heavenly chords in your mind. Equal credit must be given to the voice of debutant Payel Kundu.
Produced by Bhubaneswar Dey, Rashed Rahman and Sayantee Chattaraj are playing the lead roles in the film. The other major characters of the film are played by some fine actors like Sreela Tripathy, Biswajit Ghosh, Surajit Maity, Nilanjana Rudra, Arjun Chakraborty, Surajit Maity, Tiyas dey, and Saheb Halder. Along with screening at the theatres in December, the film will be screening at the Paris International Fantastic Film Festival too.
Recently the trailer launch of the film was organized on the 4th of November. The venue of the launch was Press Club, Kolkata. The lead actors, producer, and the director of the film were present there and they answered a few questions thrown to them by the journalists.
