Top 10 Movies of Goga Kapoor

Goga Kapoor was originally named Ravinder Kapoor who appeared in Bollywood films mostly in the roles of villain’s henchman. Known for playing Kans in TV serial Mahabharat his career spanned more than 30 years in Indian Cinema. Here is the list of his top 10 movies-

  1. TOOFAN (1989)

Toofan is a superhero film directed by Ketan Desai and starring Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role of Toofan. Toofan portrayed Goga Kapoor as Shaitan Singh whom Toofan fights. His portrayal as ruthless and cruel Daku is noteworthy and it was appraised for its performance.


This coming-of-age comedy film is one of the few films of Indian cinema where the lead hero is portrayed as looser. Goga Kapoor played the role of Anthony Gomes the Don who along with his partner Vasco breaks the fourth wall at the end of the film. The comic timing and acting were brilliantly depicted by Goga Kapoor.

EkKunwariEkKunwara showed Goga in the role of Chandu. Chandu is the molester of Tara played by Kumkum. It was also one of his initial movies with a short but crucial role.


This Amitabh Bachchan starrer showed Goga in the role of Inspector Goga. Again a small but crucial role. The movie was a hit at the box-office was applauded for its story and performances.


Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was a modern take on classic Romeo-Juliet story. Where Goga Kapoor played the role of Rashmi’s father- Randhir Singh. Randhir Singh doesn’t want Rashmi to marry Raj. He first fixes her marriage elsewhere. When they both elope then he makes fake-promise to Rashmi that he has accepted their love. Sadly, in the end, both die. The movie was acting debut of Aamir Khan and was a box-office hit.
